Update: Hey everyone, weird week. I have a close friend of mine who is close to doing something desperate so I'm leaving this update here until Monday. I'm traveling in about an hour to go visit them to offer some emotional support, so subsequently, the plans for getting more pages out shall be postponed until Monday.
UPDATE: Added two more pages, I BINNED 7 though! My life!
I had originally planned for identity death around this part of the story, but when I did more reflection on what I wanted to present with this work, the themes, message etc. I came to the conclusion that I do not want this to not be as thematically dark as it was originally going to progress, hence the pages had to go. My reluctance within my rumination came about when I considered that I wrote this part when I was in the depths of my own deep pit within the pit of my psyche, and I think, at that time, my own perception altered the course of what was to transpire narratively - negative thoughts equating to a negative outcome for my work essentially. My wants and ideals have changed now, and I intend to show some caring and hope, some character complexity, reflected in the work. I'll get the next update out on Friday with more coming Sunday (I'm supporting my friend Saturday so I'll be away).
So this part is going to be slightly horrific, but kinky too.

I've altered the style of the comic yet again to give more of a 'halfway house' between the two prior styles, so let me know how you find it. I'll do a format comparison as before when I return to my workstation.
Magical Camp shall be released this upcoming month now. I'm recalling as time goes by how time-consuming game development is. I also have an issue with a plugin that I can't quite put my finger on either, as it makes the title screen look as though it is covered in static, but that won't be much of a problem and may be released as is. It is only a minor graphical bug that doesn't affect the game. I've also decided to gut the levelling system to make it more 'pure' in the essence of it being a Magical Camp game.
So...
- Intro is done, with the choice of Magical Girl Class.
- World Map is semi-done (will evolve as I go).
- The titular Magical Camp is mostly completed (I am trying to integrate a camp upgrade system with multiple consequences. If you've played 'Corruption of Champions' you know what I'm going for).
- I'm currently looking for an artist to do the characters when they have been voted for. I want to get the first dungeon voted on and done prior to meeting them.
As for the comic:
This part was to convey how close to the edge Ken is and the result of being pushed so far. I didn't want patrons to think that a sad ending is an impossibility, though the news about the friend may have influenced my work.

The vast majority of lesbians are fine with dating trans women. This is especially true of younger lesbians. Source: I'm a lesbian and almost all of my friends are lesbians or bisexual women.

Spiderman, Luigi's Mansion, and Magical Camp were all sources of inspiration in this chapter, alongside the already-established Terminator and Kingdom Hearts references. So yeah, bully Maguire- I mean Katy is inbound! We'll have an Avengers ensemble with different facets of 'Katy'. XD

I mean the only reason why I'm questioning what I've readt and how I've interpreted this because everyone in the comment section is like "Katy is a piece of shit hurr di durr" but from what I've readt I'm just seeing how Katy is ACTIVELY TRYING TO SAVE KEN! which is why I cant actually get what people are talking about right now. Eh never needed other people to form my own opinion but I kind of feel like "Am I missing something?" Feelin withhow everyone is reacting.... Meh Still this is actually one of the few times I actually enjoyed Katy's shenanigans (yes there were more but thats mainly cause I've watched Once Upon a Time many times and I've learned to apprechiate some antagonists who can be fun too Zelena the "Wicked Witch" and Regina Mills the "Evil Queen" for example just to name 2) but this time she was actively not antagonistic like if Katy would be as bad as I've readt people's reactions then she'd actevely welcome the fact that she is getting her own body.... Then again maybe its that her body is not yet finished and thus she wouldn't be able to control the transformations anymore but I choose to believe that she actively wants to make sure Ken wont die because idk she might actually gives a damn about Ken? Maybe we'll see it in the close future but this 27 pages were VERY Solid! and I liked it it was nice to see certain stuff I was interested in and seeing things that I was like "Its a suprise but a welcome one" this was good. ALSO! PS! I am just flabberghasted as Okay I get it people dont see what is going on actually with Ken but COME ON! it is clear that something is wrong and neither Emily altho meh after her last apology just no /no infact if Katy does some "super big sis" saving on Ken Emily is going one the bottom of the list just above the bully, (Ironically Katy is going up tho actually bellow Lola) speaking of Lola "Bruh" I know she might be shocked but....... "Bruh".... huh apparently the pervs are more concerned about Ken's health than his/her/their gf..... this is the typical moment where I'm like "I'm not mad I'm just dissapointed". Anyway loved the continuation cant wait to see more!

Lola is becoming a double edged sword, as the intense desire to protect Lola and the hopelessness he feels has compelled him to want to just get it over with and have Katy take over. But what shall really blow your mind is: just who was Katy referring to when she asked for help? But to answer the question yes he’s overpowered Katy as to have her take over as to not hurt Lola anymore. I know it’s gotten a bit deep, but Lola and the ones he cares about are usually the catalyst for such strength.

But Lola was worried about the level of acceptance she'd receive for 'coming out', she also worried that Ken would see this as an excuse not to date him as she's never dated, not anyone. 2. People never act and think logically, whenever feelings are concerned anyway. It's been a running theme in the comic. Lola is incredibly thoughtful in certain regards but doesn't think of every consequence. 3. Lola has been wondering why Katy is so shy, she believes it may go beyond mere shyness, so the penis accusation resonated with her. Ken has been willing to do sexual activities with her after all, although he is meant to be 'demure'. It isn't so much an inconsistency, rather than inherent character flaws. She's also intensely jealous. Edit: Oh and Lola has been dealing with Emily for so long she kind of disregards her at times. 4. Lola has actually been texting Ken, it hasn't been revealed yet, but it's coming. She's also been in contact with Ken's mom behind the scenes, so she knows that Ken is apparently living with Emily. I think I mentioned something along these lines before to another commenter. Lola feels awkward even now about Ken, so she is both concerned, but still actively avoiding him. Her and her complicated depth! >:( She is on the crusp of asking Emily though. Pacing has been a beyatch due to everything that needed to be set-up these past few chapters. I do like this critical picking at the story though, it helps me a great deal, I hope there's more to come!

In recent chapters, Emily's behavior has been unpleasant, but Lola takes the crown for being a real pain in the neck. There are several instances that highlight Lola's behavior: 1. Ken, being honest and vulnerable, confessed his feelings to Lola. However, instead of handling the situation with empathy and understanding, Lola, who identifies as a lesbian, rejected him. The worst part is that Lola didn't even explain the real reason for her rejection, leaving Ken confused and hurt. 2. Lola's rejection not only hurt Ken emotionally but also created a strained dynamic between them. Lola cared about Ken, but her unwillingness to reveal her sexual orientation led to unnecessary misunderstandings and complications in their relationship. If she had just been upfront about being a lesbian, Ken wouldn't have misconstrued their interactions as potential romantic encounters. 3. What's more infuriating is that Lola doesn't trust anything Emily says about Katy/Ken. Even though Emily may have her flaws, Lola dismisses her words. However, when a character known as the bully spreads false information about Katy/Ken having a penis, Lola readily believes it without any evidence. This inconsistency in her judgment is frustrating, especially when Katy/Ken had never shown any interest in the bully sexually. 4. Despite sharing a childhood friendship with Ken, Lola shows no curiosity or concern about his sudden disappearance. This is particularly hurtful considering how Ken had supported and been a loyal companion to her throughout their time together. It seems as though Lola doesn't value their friendship enough to even inquire about his well-being.

The graphical bug would be a result of the VisuStella Horror Effects plugin. By default, it gives the horror TV static effect to the title screen.
