2024-02-06 19:29:58 +0000 UTCHI (sort of) CLASSICALLY TRAINED SINGER HERE (chorus and musical theater for nearly a decade). self-tuning is suuuuuuper important when evaluating vocalists. a good vocalist hits the notes but a GREAT vocalist can adapt and adjust on a whim especially in terms of harmonies (specifically thirds) and ad libs. runs and ad libs can easily feel out of place and excessive/repetitive so the fact that jay does them so well and is able to use his volume control to blend them in so seamlessly is something that i respect SO MUCH and can really appreciate. there are a lot of vocalists who have been in the music industry for a long time that still canβt do it or at least not as well as he does. okay rant over love you tons bye byeπ«Άπ½LMAO
