My Top 10 Blues Licks

Hello!
This lesson is a continuation of my Fundamentals course on chromatics. In this lesson, I primarily discuss four different fundamental arpeggios that you can play "over" a dominant seventh chord. I highly recommend watching the previous lesson before proceeding with this one.
All examples in the lesson are in the key of C. You can also download tablature with written theoretical explanations for the examples I play in the lesson, as well as more patterns based on the four arpeggios and the half-step rules I discussed in the previous lesson.
The four fundamental arpeggios I cover in the lesson are:
- Arpeggio one for C7: derived from the root of C7.
- Arpeggio two for C7: Em7(b5), based on the major 3rd of C7.
- Arpeggio three for C7: Gm7, originating from the perfect 5th of C7.
- Arpeggio four for C7: Bbmaj7, built from the minor 7th of C7.
The seventh chords of the F major scale are:
Fmaj7, Gm7, Am7, Bbmaj7, C7, Dm7, Em7(b5).
You can play all these chords/arpeggios over C7 since they all come from the same scale.
However, the four most common arpeggios to use over the five chord (C7 in this case) are the two chord (Gm7), the four chord (Bbmaj7), the five chord (C7), and the seven chord (Em7(b5)).
A big shout-out to the YouTube channel where I learned the concepts, a long time ago, discussed in this lesson. The examples in the tabs are also from this channel, which I transcribed and turned into tablature.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about this lesson. I'm more than happy to assist you.
Best regards, Emanuel Hedberg
