ScripthookV temp FIX
Added 2022-04-29 13:57:06 +0000 UTCTemporary fix for STEAM version of GTA 5 not working due to recent game update.
-In the zip file, copy the files GTA5.exe, GTAVLanguageSelect.exe and GTAVLauncher.exe to your main game folder.
-Use OpenIV to backup your custom dlclist.xml and gameconfig.xml files from "mods\update\update.rpf\common\data" and then close OpenIV.
-In the zip file, open the folder "update RPF file" and copy the file "update.rpf" to "mods\update" folder.
-Use OpenIV to put back your custom dlclist.xml and gameconfig.xml files into "mods\update\update.rpf\common\data".
You also can do this with your own backup files from previous game patch, case you have them :)

I have been on vacation so I haven't had time to enjoy my usual GTA V MOD adventures ..I did confirm the steam version is broken and I will download the temp fix..I would like to know if a better fix is coming? Again I haven't really read all of the comments about what happened yet but Im just asking now so I know how to manage myself when I get back home.

2022-05-01 23:40:13 +0000 UTCHey JulioNIB, I'm a huge fan of your work. So yeah my game updated and it wouldn't let me in. So I did everything you said here, to the letter. The game goes into the load screen, then crashes. Any idea what's going on? Also, what's the best way to avoid this in the future? I work so I don't get to play that often and it feels like every time I turn around The games being updated, or scripthook v, or addonpeds and I find myself doing a clean install. I play online sometimes but prefer playing with the mods. If someone downloaded an older version of the game would that work better for mods? I imagine it depends on the version of the game and the version of script hook v. Any advice would be appreciated
