Chapter 5: Call.

Chapter 5 (English).

Pages finished: 23/23

The circumstances we meet people in determine whether we can be friends or not sometimes. I think Izumi would have been able to be friends with these people had they met under different circumstances. In the end, it's people who are passionate about making games, which is gives them lots of positive points (if you remember, the first thing that made Izumi like Demian was how passionate he was about music. He likes people who create passionately).

For Izumi, making games is very personal, so having others involved like this makes it a very hard situation for him ( . - . ) I think some people were born to work in groups in some weren't. But ultimately, I think anyone can adapt to almost any situation. How that makes you feel is another story though.

I myself am a contradiction. I’m a control freak when it comes to my baking and food projects for parties and holidays, but I also do well in groups with other people as an extrovert. So, if I were in Izumi’s shoes, I would thrive better than he is. I would also not be afraid to put my foot down and direct my underlings back towards my creative direction. But that’s just me. Izumi is not like me. And he is doing the best he can with his situation. I also want to hug him and tell him he’s gunna be fine, and not to give up on his dreams or visions. 😖

For Izumi, his games are something personal he creates from the heart, so having others change things or add their input feels totally wrong to him (x_x)

I can understand Izumi, it's hard to work in a team sometimes... especially when it's something you're passionate about I hope it'll work out just fine
