Jordani and the Water Monday, v0.3.0 CONCEPTS (III)

Hey hey, people,

How's everyone doing? How has September started off for you? Our routine hasn't changed much, but thank goodness, the scorching heat from a month ago has subsided. Now, the mood in Ropo City has shifted to a pre-autumn vibe. We've put Fulana Beach behind us (or maybe not?), and we're diving headfirst into the seventh version, of which nearly half is already programmed (just awaiting translation). But we'll delve into the details in an upcoming Progress Report coming out later this week.

Today, it's time for more concept art. This time, we'll be taking a look at the scenes from Water Monday. In this competition, inspired by the real Water Monday festivity in Salamanca (the city where Salamin attended university), four groups of prostitutes compete in tests to determine the best pimp. Among these tests, the group exhibition is the most crucial.

We were clear that the Ogre Pimp's group would win this part. Who else could have won, right? For Rokas' group exhibition, we wanted something simple yet amusing. That's how this scene came about, where we see a horse-man (a Stallion) lifting Amy and Rebecca (and one of the nameless girls). Originally, Hilaria was supposed to be on the right arm, but it was Space who first drew the girl who wants to learn to read.

For the Ogre Pimp's group exhibition, we wanted a special prostitute, someone much more interesting than an average St. Poller. We needed someone intelligent, attractive, and exuding an air of mystery. That's how the character of Jordani Jovic came to be.

As a novelty in this version, Ximo and Jordani's characters are not based on any previous Atom concept. In fact, both characters were originally drawn by Salamin. For Jordani, the design process was quite interesting. As his name suggests, Jordani is a clear reference to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. For his original design, Salamin was inspired by the character Narciso Anasui.

The first drawing on the left is Salamin's original. On the right is Space's first sketch, who isn't that into Jojo's universe (yet). To the right of this is Salamin's original drawing with Atom's red corrections and ideas to shape the character. Finally, all the way to the right, we have the definitive version, created by Space.

For his scene, we wanted to try something simple but effective. A sexual demonstration where Jordani himself proves he's the boss of the game. Here we have the first concept of Jordani drawn by Atom, this time for the first part of the scene.

Hmm let's see... wich little slut shall I start with?

For the second part of the scene, Atom drew three versions of Jordani taking on each of the willing participants. As a requirement, each of these had to be a Jojo pose. We've interspersed them at an increasingly rapid pace for the scene.

Finally, the scene ended up like this... and due to the time crunch, it was programmed and included practically on the same day as the first version release. That's why I'm letting you know that there are planned changes for this scene, especially in the dimensions of the derrieres and also in Jordani's faces. At some point, we'll give him a little rework to make him more reminiscent of the Jojo style.

Well, that's all for today. The Ropoductions team will keep working as always. Our commitment to the game and to all of you is unwavering, as you know. We'll be sharing some exciting news with you very soon.

Until next time, be happy, take good care of yourselves, and we'll see you in the next post,

Ropo
