Using MZ and new Plugins

Hey hey people,

How's it going? How's the week kicking off for you? As you know, we've decided to take the plunge into RPG Maker MZ. After tinkering with it for a few days, today we wanted to share a couple of things with you, dear Patrons.

The switch to RPG Maker MZ has been even better than we expected: The new software is practically identical to what we were already using, which keeps the development pace going strong. But it also adds new features that really enhance the development experience.

Remember this scene? It's a composition of 7 IMGs!

For instance, with the new software, we can now preview scenes made with layers while we're editing the composition. This means we can place each IMG on the X and Y axis as we desire (previously, creating scenes with multiple layers like the example was quite challenging because we were composing blindly, only adjusting the numerical variables).

Another interesting aspect to mention is the plugins. We were using many for game development in MV, and we've pleasantly found that most of them work correctly in MZ. The only plugin we had to change is the one that played webm files. Since it didn't work for the new software, we had to switch to a new plugin, for which we've paid for the PRO version thanks to your support. Once again, thank you, dear Patrons!

And speaking of plugins, for the next version, we'll be introducing one that will be a game-changer for you and I'm sure you'll love it:

As you can see: Starting from FINAL ORGINITY v0.3.5, we'll see Amy walking diagonally! Space was determined to make it happen and will strive to bring you Jenny and Amy (in most of their versions) walking diagonally.

What little we've tested looks great! Now we can set new speedrun records Nyehehehe! We definitely want the next version to be special. Details like this will help make it happen.

Amy moving like a chess bishop.

Well, peeps, that's all for today. I hope you're doing great. It's not always easy, but believe me, it's worth fighting for. Anyway, you know how the song goes: Take care, be very VERY happy, and we'll see you in the next post.
