Hey, hey, people!
How was your weekend? Hope it was fantastic! We’ve been hard at work on Final Orginity, and here’s a little detail: We’re not just gearing up for the next version, but also working on aspects of the game that you’ll notice in the long run.
But let’s focus on today’s post, which is all about the Making Of Final Orginity! That’s right—we’re officially calling this section Making Of. Why? Because the last update marked the end of our collaboration with our friend Atom (for now, at least) and the beginning of working with the amazing Xerlexer.
As with every version, the Ropoductions team (whoever it includes at the time) starts by meeting to outline the key events and define the scenes. Some scenes are pre-planned, while others are brand new ideas—this was one of those new ones!
The general idea was simple: a light-corrupted shower scene with Amy, something fun that didn’t involve high corruption. Ideally, it would feature Amy and Anya since Melo already had his moment. After the brainstorming, Xerlexer made the concept come to life with this gif and also these sketches:

Amy tries to pick up a bar of soap in the shower, but Anya cheekily bumps her with her hip (right in front of their teammates!), knocking Amy off balance and back to square one.
The concept was a hit with SpaceSandwich and Salamin. One suggestion for improvement was to adjust the camera angle slightly, giving players a better view of Anya from a low-angle perspective.

Once that change was made, Xerlexer brought the sketch to life in pixel art. As you can see, Amy and Anya are starting to pop in the image — but the background still needed work.

The background proved to be a challenge. The new angle required a change in perspective, but we didn’t want the scene to feel flat. To add depth, SpaceSandwich made some adjustments (as shown in the middle image) before adding Phil and Mort in the background.

Next, SpaceSandwich worked their magic, refining Xerlexer’s drawings and adding details and textures to the scene. The final touch was incorporating the shady-silhouettes of the NPCs observing this moment.
For the animation, Salamin used 11 individual images to create a looping scene, that plays until Amy decides to give up (for now, at least!).

Above, the final result of the Amy and Anya shower scene. Below, a potential alternative ending for the scene that Xerlexer has in mind for the future.
And that’s the process behind just one of the five scenes we prepared for v0.4.1. As you can see, it’s no longer just about concept art and digitization—it’s full-on development work. Constant communication and teamwork are crucial when a team is spread out across more than 8.300 km. This new way of working has been a game-changer, and we believe it will bring incredible results.
None of this would be possible without you. Your support and encouragement keep us motivated and determined to deliver the best game we can.
We’ve got so many ideas in the works, and we’ll be sharing more news and updates here on Patreon soon. In the meantime, take care, stay happy, and we’ll see you in the next post!
