6th Update Reworks (III)

Hey hey people, 

How's it going? As you know, summer (at least in the northern hemisphere) has just begun, and things are starting to heat up at Ropoductions. We're still working on the presentation for the sixth version, and considering the amount of content we'll have, we'll probably call it Final Orginity v0.3. 

Today, we're excited to introduce the latest artistic rework we're working on for the upcoming release. This rework focuses on a very important character who will have significant development in v0.3. He's one of the few allies poor Amy has. We're talking about the fearless Strom:

Originally, Strom was conceived as one of the epitomes of masculinity that Amy could encounter in the early game. He's a tough character of few words. However, in the old Strom looked a bit off, as he was barely as tall as Amy (and she's tall too!).

We wanted to make him more physically appealing, so in this scene from v0.2.0, we made him much taller and even more muscular (keep in mind we plan to tweak this design as well). Atom wanted Strom to resemble Guts from Berserk, one of his all-time favorite characters.

That's why we decided to redraw the warrior. The new Strom is taller, more muscular, and has tougher features that align better with the character's psychology we had in mind. Space wanted to address certain anatomical aspects that didn't quite fit, like the neck and face. Strom needed more defined and masculine features. In fact, Space complained that the old Strom had a bit of a "potato face."

All these little details were modified with the new design. Now we have a more badass and attractive Strom, with a visually richer appearance. Strom is the most radical rework we've planned for the next version. 

In the future (starting next week), we'll be sharing other types of posts, such as new character introductions, surveys for future plans, and some posts explaining how far Salamin's autism is taking him in programming and writing.
