Meet Elena & Roy: The new Ropo-Interns!

Hey, hey, people

How are you doing, dear patrons? Have you all played the latest version of Final Orginity yet? We sure hope so, because here at Ropoductions, we’re already fully immersed in what’s coming next.

And… what’s next, you ask? Well, let’s just say it’s going to be a major update, both in content and importance. Lots of new stuff are coming, and fortunately, to help us develop everything, Ropoductions once again has some extra hands on deck.

Meet Elena & Roy

Yes, you heard that right: Ropoductions is once again welcoming two videogame students this year! They will be working with us over the next few months as part of their internship. In total, they’ll be putting in +800 hours combined, all dedicated to helping us push the next version of Final Orginity forward.

These heroes are Elena and Roy. And today, we’re going to get to know them better through an interview we’ve prepared for them.

1. Let's introduce ourselves! How would you describe your internship partner?

• Roy: She’s my bestie, everything is funnier If I am with her!!

• Elena: He’s the guy you can always rely on!

2. What are your favorite video games?

• Roy: Hmm… Maybe Stardew Valley, Baldur's Gate III and Pokemon ORAS!

• Elena: Xenoblade 2 and The World Ends With You!

3. What movie, series, anime, or other cultural work would you recommend?

• Roy: Obviously I recommend The Wild Robot and also Mononoke Princess, those are really good movies.

• Elena: Oh, Violet evergarden, it’s one of the greatest anime I've ever seen.

4. If you could work in any aspect of video game development, which one would you choose and why?

• Roy: Maybe something like character or creature design. I'd love to make 3d creatures and characters!  

• Elena: Character design, I really love to make high detailed fantasy characters.

5. What motivated you to do this internship at Ropoductions?

• Roy: I wanted to learn some pixel art and it was a really good chance to do it, also I heard good things about how Ropoductions teach.

• Elena: Learning pixel art, it’s something I always wanted to try, and when they gave us the offer I couldn’t resist!

6. What do you think of Final Orginity as a work and as a project?

• Roy: Hmm, honestly I think about it as a project that can reach their goals. The game has a lot of decisions that can make your journey different each time you play It, and also has a lot of interesting characters and designs.

• Elena: It’s a really cool experience, it combines engaging storytelling with beautiful pixel art designs and environment, everything together makes you immerse in Amy’s story.

7. Who is your favorite character in the Final Orginity universe?

• Roy: Kylia. I really love her design.

• Elena: Dolores, I just love her.

8. If you were an NPC in Final Orginity, what would your role in the game be?

• Roy: Probably I’ll be an NPC that walks around and says something stupid to Amy like: “I really like dragons, do you like pink horses?”

• Elena: Ohh, the NPC at the tavern that sees u while she’s eating a sandwich and says “Yaass bitch slay”.

Well then, dear ones, that was Elena and Roy! From the little time we've spent together so far (they started 2 days ago!), we at Ropoductions can already say we’re more than satisfied with their motivation and great attitude. With them on board, we’ll definitely be able to deliver a more complete version in a much shorter time than you're used to. Hopefully, they'll learn a little something from us too! Let's all give them a warm welcome!!

Anyway, we’re continuing with development. There's still a lot to do, but very soon, we’ll be back with the first Progress Report on the new version, exclusively for the Ogre Pimps. We’ll also be bringing you the Making Of for the cutscenes from the previous version.
