It's such a common tactic in America that it's no wonder the word carries such a stigma in the US. That's a very fair point. With these type of titles it's really just stroking the egos of those that probably already consider themselves socialist.

I couldn't help but having expected you to mention progressive taxation as a practical and modern way of enforcing "from each according to their ability..." (and name dropping some modern countries that have it) since I'm sure a lot of people think that, despite sounding good in theory, you'd need a dictatorship to implement such a thing.
