I am conducting research for a PhD thesis on politics and it is clear that in every study undertaken the Scandinavian Countries come at or near the top of the Socio Economic scale for happiness, standard of living, less crime and greater opportunities to lead a productive life. As a resident of the UK which made the diastrous decision to witthdraw from Europe based on lies and misinfoirmation, I decided to pursue a Doctorate with a view to mapping out the measures we need to take to build a better world and that is not by embracing Capitalism. In fact we need to introduce state funding for Political Parties and ban anyone running for office from holding business interests because then you will encourage genuine people to come forward that truly want to make our world a better place. Intelligence agencies such as the CIA, MI5 and MI6 need to be closed down and we need to build from the bottom up a truly democratic and participatory world where everyone has the opportunity to contribute. This will need to be facilitated by the introduction of policies such as a reduction in the working week with no loss of pay, freeing up people so thay can contribute to the running of society, the introduction of the Universal Basic Income and the ending of the outsourcing of Public Services such as healthcare, education and prisons. Key industries such as heat, light and power need to be nationalised under the democratic control of the communities those services serve and all elected officials should be subjected to an immediate right of recall to ensure accountability to the people they are elected to represent. Covid-19 has demonstrated unequivocally the massive failure that is Capitalism, which is only leading humanity one way and that is extinction. It's replacemenrt is long overdue. Kudos to you and this channel. You are a breath of fresh air my friend and I am proud to give you what I can to help get the message out.

I just wonder if the US adopted a Norway style prison system tomorrow (it won't but go with me here) people would point to the falling prison population as an issue and push for more police funding. Unless we completely overhaul almost everything most people consider American we are not fixing the problem.

The largest issue I've had in discussing this topic with conservatives is that China has a much higher execution rate than the US. Have you done the math to include that in the figures?
