Why Do Socialists Support Intersectional Liberation Movements?

Howdy, friends! There's an irritating trend among segments of the online left that insists on reducing "oppression" to only the direct oppression of workers by capitalists. This tendency is often referred to as "class reductionism," and it reveals a serious misunderstanding of how oppression actually works. In this episode, we're going to talk about the importance of intersectional liberatory movements, and why it's so critical that we develop a more well-rounded analysis of the nature of class struggle. Hope you enjoy!

Yes, we must embrace humanity in all it's forms because as I understand it, socialism at its core cares about the welfare of all human beings. It's problematic to equate blind people with ignorance by using "blind to _____" which you did several times in this video. This is a way to marginalize blind people and especially should not be done if we are intending to include disabled people. Also using the word stupid is very ableist and problematic to those of us including myself with mental and cognitive challenges. I appreciate your efforts and insights you revealed around the importance of intersectional liberation and their strong connection with socialism.

Word.
