This is one of those moments which I personally wouldn't have written, but I still thought it was a creative idea from the original author.

I'm glad the pudding turned out looking good, I was kinda afraid. The backgrounds meanwhile gave me a headache and confirmed something I was afraid of. (some cgi rant following, you don't need to read it if you don't care about that sort of thing)

You see, I use blender for most backgrounds. But as everyone who has used Blender for several years, knows it has a problem with artifacts(when rendering with the cycles engine). Starting v3.0 they introduced a really good denoising addon, however also starting 3.0 blender started to lag really hard on my old computers, so I only used 3.0 for rendering, but for everything else an older version. Anyway, a key feature of CGI are "particle" effects, which is used among other thing for stuff like grass, hair etc. . Anyway, even though when switching from pre 3.0 to post 3.0 blender, the rendering itself looks the same(not counting stuff like denoising) however particles...do not. I noticed this only lately, but the coding for particles seems to be completely different, thus whatever I create in the older blender won't look as good in the newer blender. So I had to render every panel with grass and such twice for these pages. One time in newer blender with the denoising, and one time in the older for the leaves, and then carefully blend it together in photoshop, to get the details of the grass but the denoising of the rest. Now that I know, it won't be as much a hassle as it was this month, but also I am wondering if I should find a better way to do this than to render it twice...it sucks being poor, haha
