2024-09-09 07:29:31 +0000 UTCI just listened to this Geopolitical Economy report episode from 2022: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEZBOaPKWjw In it, they describe all of the EU turning towards austerity politics and neoliberalism. Two years on, we see it playing out in France. The European ruling class is hell bent on extracting from the European working class. Social democracy is of the past. The gains to the working class are to be handed over to the capitalists.

2024-09-09 02:36:03 +0000 UTCI would like to share with you that I am living in Europe, and some of your evaluations of the Nouveau Front populaire (NFP) is not as disaligned as you might believe. The problem is that this government, Macronians are acting as if they are dictators. So I think the more they go against the voting citizens the stronger the NFP will become. There is one element that might corrupt them is NFP, which have a lot of younger people. That is the White Nationalist Boys - "Génération Anti-Racailles!" and the "Blood and Honor," nazis. They are with the Marin Le Pen "First Nationalist" party, but the "Le Pens" don't show this in public.

I can't wait for the revolution when we'll finally understand the real meaning of freedom. Would love to hear you interview an appropriate guest(s) about these 2 types of freedoms. Peace.

They seem to go to whichever imperialist country destroyed their economy by overthrowing a leader who cares about the poor and working class. The legitimate leader just wants to protect his people from privatized corporate foreign theft scams to be able to support his own people with, housing, medical care and education. The imperialist sociopaths will, and do, commit mass murder out of a greedy lust to enrich themselves.

2024-08-22 19:03:59 +0000 UTCcentrist politicians execute what their constituency wants. their constituency is the corporate sector. the corporate sector sees fascism as the only way out of the mess they got themselves into. in europe they indeed totally captured government so government only attended short term private interests. they didn't not oppose empire warmongering everywhere on their borders, sending refugees to their shores (otoh, they need immigrants to save what's left of their social security - pensions - because they can't get that demographic pyramid in order).

2024-08-22 14:34:15 +0000 UTCOnly can speak about germany, but I think our problems are going deeper than fearing a takeover from far right. In conquest defending democracy we did a overshoot. We reached a point were you are : A) left - pro open border - pro democracy or B) against it and consequently right and against democracy. There is nothing in between. Politics and public opinion went full borderline. Free speech is important, but it's getting a premium for people going in line with gouverment. Our press should be independent but grew to close to gouverment. People in believe doing good, screaming democracy, are doing really undemocratic stuff. "And that's okay, because it's for the good cause. Why should we listen to right leaning people? They are evil and need to be supressed. for democracy!" I think a waste majority in germany wants a change. Maybe "more" closed border or sonething. But that's not 4.Reich. we need to re-learn to talk about problems and fears. Right now there are "good opinions" and "bad opinions" and that mindset needs to go.

In the Netherlands the Green Left party and the Labour Party united and won massive gains, only to cry when the PVV won the majority of the votes. Same during the EU vote, GL/PvdA won massive amounts of seats, only to start complaining again when the PVV ended second. We need to stop complaining, show some backbone and unite!
