EARLY ACCESS: How The US Hides Its Global Empire

Howdy, friends! I hope you're all having a great day. This time around we're talking about something simultaneously invisible and ever-present: the global US empire. How is it that the US can control so much territory and so many millions of people without any of the trappings of a "traditional" empire like the British or French? I hope you enjoy! We're all really proud of this one. I think it's some of our best work yet.

@SecondThought Btw what do you think of Aleksandr Dugin And his definition of liberalism (look for Tucker Carlson interview, the first five minutes or so I don’t usually watch him, but he is the only one who interviewed the guy)

Great video JT, if I can make one suggestion it would be including some sound effects or original score from Age of Empires

Karl Hungus

Excellent as usual. Worth more than I can afford on Patreon. Money well spent.

Thanks for truly breaking down all teh way the U.S. Empire impacts the world!

Powerful video. REally well written and produced. Puts the realities of the U.S. corporate capitalist hegemony in clear view without hyperbole or distraction.

For starters, both the buyer and seller in any trade must agree on which currency to use. And in a global economy where currencies are backed by various factors (usually gold or fiat to the best of my knowledge), some currencies will simply be better than others. Since the dollar is the global reserve currency (among other reasons), it is the most valuable currency. For another reason, JT's reference to oil, one of the most valuable resources on the planet, being pegged to the dollar. Thankfully, the dollar is on the decline for several reasons, not least of which are the numerous times the US has screwed over countries by jacking with the value of the dollar. So the risk of filling your national reserves with dollars is seemingly less and less worth it, particularly with the rise in the Chinese yuan/RMB. This is very surface level, but you might check out some videos from Geopolitical Economy report that talk about currency and monetary policy for more expert information.

Their currency isn't backed by the ability to bomb anywhere on the planet within a half hour's notice.

Liked the maps as a storytelling device. I wonder if an interesting topic would be comparing United States expansionism with Soviet expansion the US loves to use as anti-communist rhetoric.

Hey guys, can someone explain why countries can’t simply trade in their currency?

Brilliant work! This was put together really well

Great work! US economic hegemony is coming to an end, though: check out https://www.youtube.com/@Inside_China_Business. Very well researched and factual take on China's growing (and the West's declining) place in the world economy from a US businessman who has lived in China for over 12 years.

Amazing quality, excellent topic, 💯💯💯👏👏👏 Absolute banger, JT.

Love the editing! Amazing work!

As a Puerto Rican, I know there's so much more that could be shown of how utterly brutal it is to be a US colony since 1898. But this will have to do, for Americans without a clue.

Amazing production work!!

I guess it's only a matter of how we fall. Will we fall gracefully or bring down the whole world with us in some orchestrated world war?

Mike Smith

Keep up the great work
