We're kind of a big deal...

It's a pretty good day that ends with notification from the Library of Congress requesting permission to be archived as part of their Comics Literature and Criticism Web Archive. Our response was a resounding yes! of course. Our team at WWAC, past and present, works hard to bring you comics news, diverse critical essays and reviews, and a few spicy takes. It's such an amazing feeling to have this acknowledgement that our work and our passion is appreciated and respected.

But we already knew that — because you're here. And for that, we are very, very grateful.

The Library of Congress preserves important cultural artifacts and provides enduring access to them. The Library's traditional functions, acquiring, cataloging, preserving and serving collection materials of historical importance to foster education and scholarship, extend to digital materials, including websites. Our web archives are important because they contribute to the historical record, capturing information that could otherwise be lost.
