A bit about skills in Norika's Case S2
Added 2025-09-18 10:16:13 +0000 UTCHello everyone. Today I’d like to step a little aside from the format of our usual posts and share some information about a very important aspect of the game — Skills (Intelligence, Strength, Charisma), as well as perks that will be added later.
Let me say this right away: it might seem to you now that skills only affect grinding or restrict certain actions, but I can tell you — that’s absolutely not the case. I’ve been playing games for a long time, and I want to develop this system and polish it to perfection, which is exactly what I’ve been working on these past few days after the release of v0.1.
The skill you’ll encounter in this update is Intelligence, and the online library will finally start working. I could stop here and explain how the leveling system will function, but I won’t — I’ll just say that it’s quite interesting and will most likely be expanded in the future. Already in the next update you’ll be able to purchase your first book — or even three at once. And they’re not ordinary books, each has its own unique features, but as I’ve said before, you’ll get to see this for yourself.
So, what’s probably the most exciting part is how Intelligence will affect gameplay. First of all — dialogues. Many actions in branching events will only be available if your Intelligence is sufficiently developed (mostly related to serious conversations and tasks, not seduction events). Next, Intelligence will give you the ability to receive hints at work (or in events), as well as catch people lying in important dialogues — all of this will also impact the story.
In short, Intelligence — just like other skills — is not just filler, not a way to artificially slow down your gameplay. It’s a large system that will steadily evolve with every update and have a real impact on the game.
