As I write this, the fans on my MacBook Pro are grinding away - it's the first time I think I've ever heard them run in over a year of having this laptop. They're rendering out what I've been what on and off in the last two weeks since my last post. It's a "Top 5" format of installing operating systems that you've probably never heard of.
The name, the video format, and the title are going to be a bit clickbaity. I'm kinda hoping that algrothm-sempai notices me. Then again, maybe a Cray mainframe only appeals to a selcet few. But you know, given that I basically pounded out the first video in over a year (and the first original video in ... 1.5 years, ouch) with nothing but my MacBook Pro feels good. That M2 processor was a well placed investment.
I still have a fair bit more work to do on this, there's usually a large number of fixes I need to do on the first few passes, and I need to synchronize music, and perhaps retime cuts to really get the full effect, but it's the closest I've actually gotten to getting something out the door in awhile.
Getting that last Patreon post out of my system helped considerably. I was worried that I would loose a large number of supporters, but well, folks seem to want to stick by me. Since then, I've either been recording in OBS or working with Resolve pretty much every day for at least a little bit for the last two weeks, mostly using what I could reasonably get working on mac OS, and calling it good. I've been mostly reporting as I was going on #the-lounge on Discord.
This is probably going to define what the channel is going to look like for the foreseeable future. Hopefully, it will all be to your approval ...
