Graphic: U.S. Armor Company Team

A notional task organization of a U.S. Army Armor Company Team in a high threat area. Solid lines represent organic units while dotted lines are attached from outside units.

Attachments:

• From Mechanized Infantry Company (CAB): The Armor Company has swapped 3rd platoons with a Mechanized Infantry Company to gain a Bradley IFV/dismounted infantry component.

• From Headquarters & Headquarters Company (CAB): An Ambulance Squad has been attached for medical evacuation.

• From Field Artillery Battalion: A Fire Support Team (FIST) has been attached to enable the company commander to effectively integrate fires.

• From MI Company, Brigade Engineer Battalion: An intelligence analyst who would be part of a Company Intelligence Support Team (COIST) is shown at half opacity in the FIST box because whether or not they'd be attached is based on what kind of operation and responsibilities the company has.

• From Combat Engineer Company, Brigade Engineer Battalion: An Engineer Squad has been attached for mobility support.

• From Forward Support Company (CAB), further from Brigade Support Battalion: A Field Maintenance Team has been attached for second-line maintenance and vehicle recovery.

• A Stinger MANPADS team has been attached for short-range air defense.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. That could be my company team from Desert Storm. We swapped one of our platoons for a mech platoon too. The big difference is that our flyswatter was a Vulcan track and we had M1A1s.

Possibly. BTGs are generally more variable, especially in equipment, so we might have to find specific real-world examples to reference

It's on the to-do list!

Could you do a Bradley company combat team as well

Got a link to that article?

I read an article about an ‘armored assault company’ incorporating platoons of six Bradleys combined with an infantry platoon; I wonder how far along that experiment is going.
