sample pack: soma pulsar-23 trap kit
Added 2026-01-30 21:37:23 +0000 UTChere's the first kit for the pneumatic tier - one of my favorite pieces of gear to get lost in, the soma pulsar-23 (more on the unit here). vlad kreimer is continuously developing some of the most esoteric, engaging pieces of kit out there, and i'm forever grateful i got my hands on this. think i first used it on "withdrawal" off 222.
as for the pack - i'm pleasantly surprised with what i got out of it in the context of trap/witch house specific one-shots... it took me a few hours of continuous recording, then about a day of making selects, trimming, mixing, bouncing, etc. but i'm stoked with these.
samples were recorded from the soma pulsar-23 kick, sd, and hht modules with varying degrees of drive, distortion, delay, verb all within the analog unit itself. minimal processing was done in ableton to normalize volumes, trim samples, and get the cleanest .wav files. a lot of these are heavy/dirty, but i tried to get some clean/classic sounds in there as well.
