my friend steph approached me to put together the first ride or cry community radio playlist of 2026 and i did what i always do - immediately panic and overthink things, build three different playlists with totally different directions, then eventually hone in on something "good enough."

i wanted to offer a sort of emo essentials playlist with what i thought the core vibe of the genre(s) should be. old and new screamo, emoviolence, and metalcore. let the kids know what's up - hopefully give people interested a rabbit hole to go down. trve kvlt skramz, etc.
