I've written a bit more details about their costumes and personalities in the side.
The names Insight, Whisper, and Crusher are code names to signify roles and positions. These are cognomen the Custodians inherit, create anew, or achieve. The reality is that the titles are an insult. The 1st Elvish Divinity simply didn't want to bother learning new names every time one of the Custodians died.
