So why is he showing this to the Warden in such a goofy way? I'd like to think it's his sense of humor and that he's trying to cheer her up.
The Elvish Progenitor represents the unbroken cycle of hatred. The need to take revenge and see their way at the expense of everyone else. It would be like Genghis Khan, Vlad the Impaler, or Alexander the Great being reborn in today's era with super powers. Especially if the monster saw his descendants suffering.
I'd like to think that we as a species are moving past such barbarities. And we are in the grand scheme of things.
