I was inspired by but did not copy Alex Grey, an artist that captures the transcendental.

The Prisoner has taught Warden how to use mana sight. Most of it is done by manipulating internal mana towards the eyes and overlaying a rune inside the retina. This is a difficult spell that requires a mana pool to hold the sigil in shape. But the lessons are paying off.

What we are seeing is Crusher's core mana and mental barriers opening up to the world. It is a very vulnerable state the mind and innate mana in all creatures try to avoid. When the Prisoner is freed from his shackles he can just rip the barriers aside without causing irreparable damage. But mindless sex zombies are not the best tools so the Prisoner works to break down the psyche and get them to 'voluntarily' give up before starting the conversion process.
