Added 2023-06-16 20:29:39 +0000 UTCThe Ravens are Empowered as well as magic users. The Empowered have better physical capabilities than normal warriors. This includes toughness as shown by Swagger surviving a kick from that would have pulverized a normal person's organs and the impact of being slammed against a mountain.
As a side note. Warden is also an Empowered at the beginning of the comic. So are the Sparrows. Warden was roughly similar in speed, durability, and stamina of the Sparrows - but she lacked the explosive speed the Sparrows all trained in. And she would be far outstripped by a warrior like Swagger. Power levels are not everything. The Warden would wipe the floor with Swagger. She is much more skilled in close quarters and her strength and speed do not matter compared to her pinpoint precise strikes and deflections.
