A sustained battlefield would be like a shaken snow globe. Usually, the area would simply glow while the saturation of mana would slowly dissipate. In this scenario, the sleep fog cast by Insight's squad adds to the volume and volatility, making delicate spells such as detection or crafting virtually impossible. A stronger signal would be needed to punch through.
