Added 2024-05-13 19:29:06 +0000 UTCThe Prisoner knows about the teleportation network because he is reading the minds of his hounds. There are obvious limitations or extreme expenses. There are a number of times, in the story which should mention how he is looking through their memories to explain how he knows so much. For example, he is able to understand and speak without sounding like a man from 500 years ago is by mind reading of Custodian Grace. Ripping out that information and practical knowledge harmed her greatly and she's just starting to show signs of recovery. If the Prisoner were to speak with an accent, it would sound like he grew up in Grace's neighborhood. In other words, when speaking in the common trade tongue of the humans, the Prisoner has an Elvish accent.
