Added 2023-09-22 22:21:09 +0000 UTCI think I've developed a reputation for not showing sex scenes. Well not this time. This time jump was a tease and a head feint. You thought I wasn't going to, but no. There will be pages of it. And this scene shows exactly how little time passed between chapters and reassures readers of what is to come. At least, that was what I'm hoping to do.
So you may have noticed and asked 'where are the mana ropes?'
I have reasons! Visually speaking when the Prisoner is passively controlling the area around him at close range, there will be a soft glow. His shackled hand and feet continue to absorb mana appearing black in this scene. When he extends the range of his magic, the mana will become visible again as he condenses them into easier to control tendrils. I've included the lore reason within the pages to come. It's one thing to include lore notes here versus stating it within the comic.
The real reason is that it would be way to cluttered in an image like this.
