They are usually capable of reaching across stars and entering any realm under specific conditions. This ability is taken further and shown that they can create pocket dimensions, even for their most mundane soldier. The Nursery itself is a series of connected underground dimensional spaces where the next generation of soldiers are raised. As mentioned before - mana intensive cornucopia artifacts provide cheap and nutritious gruel converted from sea-water.
All Sparrows are Empowered, this world's version of unnaturally strong warriors. These graduation standards are reflected in the power chart below. At this rate they are stronger than the average Empowered wandering the world. They are able to scale walls with ease, empower their blows to crush through armor, they have the reflexes and speed of a martial artist, and they are more durable as well. A normal warrior would not compare.

Xian Xia whu shu tropes apply here. Limited ability, innate talent, and eating spirit refined pills all apply. A lore entry told men are more likely than women to be empowered. Women are more likely to be mages. Elves and half elves have found a better way to activate empowered states than others. The Prisoner knows how to induce Empowerment and even mana core creation, a requirement of mages. The sad part is. If you know of any advanced form of training, anyone could become both.

2025-01-28 00:12:45 +0000 UTCDid you ever give us a bit more numbers on how difficult it is to become empowered in this world? I know it differs by species but say you get a culture that gives a standardized internal mana manipulation training for anyone who wants it. Can anyone become an empowered if they had the knowledge and trained/practiced similar to martial artists or monks or is it more like cultivators where you need rare resources that limits how many can get to the upper ranks of Master or Expert? I imagine Warden didn't get any real training or had training secrets told to her until much later.
