As stated earlier in the comics, the mind bridge spell is very dangerous. It opens up a channel where both minds can affect the other. What the Warden is doing is opening herself up to that danger while forcibly inviting others to join her using the backchannels opened up by the Prisoner's corruption. This would be harder to do if Insight's squad were not subjugated by the Prisoner.

And Goblins are the winner. Diplomat Yr'vette and a bunch of goblins will serve as auxiliaries and the pets of the elves in book 2. What we can expect to see is them being used in a servant capacity and as task-masters of the human prisoners. All the while plotting the downfall of the elves and taking advantage of the situation however they can.
