Added 2024-12-20 23:28:10 +0000 UTCAmbient mana infuses everything and the anti-magic in Aegis' blade tears apart mana before his blade even reaches the solid stone. So objects are torn apart even before his blade reaches them. Even more so for the rich mana bindings the Prisoner has placed on and seeped into the stone projectile in order to throw that mass at such speeds.
If this tale was told in a future setting, Aegis would be a cybernetically enhanced mage assassin. The close range nature of his powers would require him to sneak close within melee. Normal explosions and artillery would still become an issue.
