When I imagine these, they would not appear as actual words but as mental imprints, the flickers of thoughts and senses open to interpretation. 'Choose your moment,' would be 'a sense of anticipation tempered with patience yielding the perfect moment before pouncing upon the prey.' 'He can only sense magic in his aura,' would be 'the prey has sense our intent wafting off our bodies without his eyes.'
I'm not sure I like how the speech bubbles came out. I may change them before these come out to the public if I can find a better way.

Love the speech bubbles as they are. The black background implies the dark power of the prisoner, and the red jagged border makes it clear it's magic... Not normal speech.
