The Race

It's a family tradition that dates back to when Abby was a little girl. Every summer, all branches of the Prescott family put aside their differences, pack their swimwear and jet off to Portugal for three weeks of sun, sea and Super Bock at Grandma Prescott's beachfront villa in the Algarve (the eventual inheritance of which is the main source of said differences).

For Abby and her sister Hannah, it's the perfect opportunity to relax from their busy lives. And while the evenings find them in the bars and restaurants of Vale de Lobo, their days are spent lazing by the villa pool, guzzling cocktails to keep cool and gorging on barbecue served by Hannah's ever-attentive husband Chris, topped off (naturally) with plenty of traditional Portuguese treats from Grandma's oven. No wonder those tummies are riding so low in the water!

But though their figures have softened over the years, sibling rivalries die hard. And when Hannah's daughter asks Grandma about the numbers etched on the fence panels, and finds an old picture of Aunty Abby holding a swimming trophy, an old competitive spirit resurfaces.

...Though whether Abby will be able to resurface with that belly weighing her down remains to be seen! 😄

Just a little teaser pic for a short story I'm working on. The idea came from random procrastinatory YouTube scrolling. It's set a few months after the awards do in part 7 of the Lady wot lunched, and it's probably not much of a spoiler to remark that Abby has grown significantly fatter since then! Oof!

I couldn't decide which version of this pic looked best, which is why there are three - apologies if this misled you into expecting three different pics! To make up for it, I'll do another pic to go with the story, again featuring Abby and Hannah.

I had real fun creating the bubbles here, even if the effect perhaps looks a little too leisurely for a race. Ah well, they are big girls, after all.

Also: I'm conscious that there have been a lot of bikini pics recently. This is mostly laziness on my part, as they're generally the easiest ones to do! I promise some more interesting clothed pics soon. 🙂
