Added 2023-03-30 14:46:41 +0000 UTCApril kicks off with Sally Rooney's hit novel Normal People. We're joined by guest Vanessa Zoltan, whose voice you may recognize from Hot & Bothered or Harry Potter and the Sacred Text.
Then we're going to read the award-winning All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders. According to Wikipedia, it is "about a witch and a techno-geek, their troubled relationship, and their attempts to save the world from disaster." Props to Wikipedia for the Oxford comma usage.
We'll revisit our old goonfriend Jennifer Egan and her follow-up The Candy House.
Closing it out is our Patron's Choice: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Hope we survive our encounter with Willy Wonka!
Toward the end of the month (date TBD) we'll be livestreaming our discussion of the novelization of Super Mario Bros (1993). $5+ patrons will be able to join us for this bonus episode, and $3+ patrons will get the audio early before it hits the main feed.
