Imagine if such entropy weaponry being developed is why Peter turbo was sent to fight the hurrud, the secret backround research into their biology was key to that weaponry which the primarch of technology wouldn't accept not being the one designing it but also was the only one who could build things that would last long enough to get that far against the xenos which is why he was never told and assigned to this seemingly petty battlefield that turned him ultimately traitor. The risk was worth it since his brother's were better at what he did

In fact, calling it "the" Reformation is a bit misleading, as there were actually three separate Reformers, at the same time, doing pretty much the same thing, but differing quite radically in their beliefs apart from their shared critique of the Catholic Church. You had Martin Luther in Germany, a former monk who famously nailed a "list of 95 reasons Catholic doctrine is un-Biblical" to a church door, and later married a nun. Then there was two Reformers in different parts of Switzerland - Jean Calvin (famously namesake of a certain comic strip six-year old, along with his toy tiger Hobbes, named after an English philosopher), whose doctrines form the basis of the Kirk (yes, it's Kirk, not Church) of Scotland, among others, and Huldrych Zwingli, by far the least known of the three, and by far the most radical in his thinking, which even briefly led to one of the Swiss cantons (autonomous regions) reforming as a theocracy. In the centuries to come, the Zwinglians would be heavilly persecuted (they were never a very large group to begin with), which led to a mass exodus, where they would move, en masse, to North America, eventually becoming the Amish and Mennonites, among other groups. The Amish in particular forsaking technology is not even odd, given their history, though the exact circumstances are: they somehow got the idea that they knew the exact date of the Second Coming, and when that date passed, instead of admitting they'd miscalculated, they decided to pause time instead, so that whenever the Second Coming does happen, they were right all along. Edit: And now you also know why they speak a variant of German (the "Dutch" in Pennysylvania State Dutch is a mistranslation of Deutsch, which is literally German for "German"!), it's a very old dialect of Swiss German.

Some fun facts both come from the same Anabaptists which are Prodestants. And Mennonites don't do Rumspriga. Last thing Mennonites drive cars and have telephones/tv while Amish don't. Source: My Mom.

Look up Nobuo Fujita, it's an amazing story. 2: There is a city in Oregon called Aloha, but not pronounced like the Hawaiian word for hello/goodbye. It was supposed to be spelled Aloah, but got miss-spelled while the paperwork was being submitted for the city to be registered; causing so much confusion for visitors. 3: We exploded a whale... Since every community sets their own rules every group has different things they ban. There are Amish that use power tools and flip phone cause they admit it's just too useful to ignore. Living there its nice to be every now and then (like once a year) to go see what new shops or new things are added but not regularly. I would say its definitely worth seeing at least once if your in the state but dont make it the reason to go.
