EP. 215 | Mathieusode Two; The Mathening

So I played in a Dark Heresy game set during the fall of Cadia for like, 4 years. Beta grade psyker. Now I write fanfiction about that character after he finally becomes a proper Inquisitor. And I just have this mental image of him meeting Guilleman and asking "Lord Regent...are...are you okay?"

Benjamin Allen

Well for one i think the golden throne amplifies his power immensely. They're throwing thousands of psykers a day into the wood chipper to keep him alive and in super saiyan mode. Also he's still physically in the mortal realm, so I think that affords him a lot of protection. My understanding has been that the chaos gods are so hilariously powerful that if they tried to step into reality, they would metaphorically fall through the floor back into the warp. That means they have to do everything through less powerful demons and mortal agents. There's also the depressing notion that the chaos gods enjoy the great game, and are in no hurry for it to end. I've heard Tzeentch in particular will actually sabotage himself when he gets close to winning, because he wants to keep playing. Anyway maybe with enough aggregated worship and belief the emperor could eventually become something that could go toe to toe with one of the chaos gods and win, but he's got millions or billions of years of catching up to do, especially against nurgle and khorne. If all four teamed up against him, he'd be boned. When they eventually bring 40k to a close (hopefully they never do... The only good thing that came out of The End Times was total war games), the ending where the emperor comes back and dumpsters chaos seems way too happy for GW. Only situation that works is if he becomes something as bad as or worse than chaos was, locking humanity into an eternity of suffering and death in his name. Then they could have an age of sigmar spin-off where the remnants of all the original factions, including chaos, are the "good guys" and the emperor's forces are the "bad guys."

Y'all oughta start episodes like that more often. Highly relatable

In regards to the supervisor lady's argument, wouldn't the fact that Big E is holding on in a 1v4 mean that he's remarkably stronger than the 4 gods trying to jump him?

So it's time for a word bearer televangelist episode now right?
