The two things that were majorly of note was the landfall of Hurricane Helene (which was quite bad, but didn't make national news from what I saw.) and the passing of John Ashton. Congrats! It's gotten incredibly sensationalized (for no real reason cause by the end the man had 0 immune system anymore and at one point was actually dead for a total of 49 minutes due to his heart stopping) to make you think evil doctors doing experiments when in reality the doctors made a promise to him that they would try everything they could to keep him alive and save him and at any point up until the end there was a chance of him actually healing.
