2024-11-14 05:26:55 +0000 UTCBasically it uses exhaust energy to power a turbine in a compressor that pulls external cool air into the engine than could reach it if it was naturally aspirated (I.e. no turbo or super charger) This allows for more fuel to be added creating a higher fuel to air ratio in the engines cylinders and allowing for more combustion and power. The turbo “spooling” is like the turbine beginning to increase its rotational speed and push air into the engine Basically denser air = more space for fuel = bigger explosion = more power and speed
