Phase Transition: Depthless Hunger to Deadgold

I dislike release/promotional times, so having two in a row is unfortunate, especially when it feels like I'm trying to break down a brick wall with my forehead. That's just how the schedule fell out when also working with a publisher.

How did the launch of Depthless Hunger do? Difficult to say, because Audible is a black box. My contact said it was "off to a good start" and that may not be simple rhetoric, because he was direct about the preorder being fewer copies than expected. But I think I won't actually know until I get my first financial statement. Thanks to everyone who supported either the ebook or audiobook releases.

One additional thing that's frustrating: my books keep getting kicked out of the "Asian Myth and Legend" category, which is where most cultivation-adjacent series go. I actually got an explicit email saying this, which is frustrating, because I don't feel this is less appropriate for the category than many of the others filling it. But it's Amazon, what can you do?

Anyway, I have an announcement that many of you may be excited for: I intend to begin posting normal chapters of Deadgold next weekend. It will be all the preview chapters plus two more, launching that book into the normal schedule that will carry us into 2026.

All caught up on depthless hunger, happy that weirkey chronicles restarts just in time. I hope with the new audiance from this series and then a few from depthless hunger moving over that both will get a boost. It would be a shame if either was discountinued. Though I recon the reason your DH gets kicked out of asian mythology is because the actually cultivation techniques of qi etc is brushed over in your series. Love the well thought out multi power, characters and world building in it. Its nice to have another series with a strong but not unstoppable mc/mcs.

I couldn't find a link to the ebook before, but I've picked it up now. Thanks!

Been enjoying DH a lot! It definitely hits all the fun mainstream beats I enjoy. The multi power system is well planned out and not convoluted (compared to divine apostasy), the romance is lovely, and the comedy and characterization is great. If it ends at just 5 books, it's been a lovely ride.
