Choose your own adventure...

I'm curious what people would like to see in terms of bonus content. I figure I'll ask this periodically and give everyone a chance to chime in.

I posted the intro to Overpowered (working title) because I had it ready and I was curious if people would be interested in more of that sort of content. However, I could see people being more interested in AoI-centric content or even something I haven't thought of yet.

So here's your first chance to give me feedback on what you'd like to see next/more of.  Comment below if you have an opinion. Free users are welcome to comment as well, and in particular let me know if there's something I can off that would convert you to a paid user.

Thanks!

One thing i'd like to see on patreon is some note about game mechanics. For example i have forgotten exactly how many progression points are gained each level except for the goblin species. Sometimes in the novel it felt like progression points were always available just out of thin air because i failed to track the gain and the current sum. Of course i don't expect a status screen each chapter on the current state of the MC. too troublesome. but some notes somewhere of the basics rate of gain would help.

Axiom of Infinity, the series title - I use that acronym over AI just to avoid confusing it Artificial Intelligence.

what does AoI mean?

More of Aol, but not our heroes ? As it is for bonus stories, I imagine something to flesh out the universe. Someone who spawned in the wilderness or in an other country (goblin country?), totally different environnements. Or maybe from Earth perspective if some people noticed something strange about the disapearances ?

I've been trying to think of ways to release more AoI content, and the only thing I've come up with so far is short stories set in the AoI world, but from other Traveler's (or natives) perspectives. The reason being that the main AoI chapters are both very long and have a minimum level of quality control they need to go through (both editing, and making sure I'm not introducing any plot holes / broken mechanics / etc). While the full book is written, I'm still doing a last QA pass on chapters before they get released. What I'm thinking for those kind of side stories is basically having them be non-canon until published elsewhere, and Patreon will basically be part of my review process for them. This should let me process them faster, but they'll probably get major rewrites before being introduced into a book. My process for writing is discovery with guidelines, followed by lots of revisions. AoI1 has been rewritten 6-8 times (depending on how you count it), and the book is unrecognizable from early drafts. I use the previous draft as my outline, but end up tossing anything that doesn't work. These side stories would most likely be first or second draft stories, and might have balance issues. That said, it does amuse me greatly to think of Patreon members filling bug/exploit reports on the story, all things considered. :P An example of something like this might be Tristan's backstory. If there's every an AoI prequel it'd be based on that - and I could start building it as a patreon exclusive short story (by which I mean it will likely end up at +80k words). Another possibility is mythology set in the world. Later in AoI1 Dawn relates Astra's creation myth to Infinity, and I could vastly flesh that out. I could also write more myths & parables about all the prime gods.
