2 new systems to be introduced
Added 2022-05-13 23:33:24 +0000 UTC1: Sekiro-ish timed block/parry system
Projectile parry:
blocking while facing a projectile will "parry" the projectile(regardless of the timing). Parrying the projectile damages magicka with a balanced formula; it does not damage stamina because stamina regenerates way too fast and doing so would render all projectiles harmless. I'd like to think of magicka as an alternative "focus meter".
Projectile timed parry:
doing timed block on a projectile will parry it without damaging magicka. You can indefinitely to timed parry for projectiles, just like timed blocking.
Projectile deflection:
doing perfect block on a projectile will deflect it back at the enemy.
2. Balance (stagger) system:
When your're not in stamina debuff(stamina meter being grey): every single heavy attack staggers your enemy.
In addition to that; every NPC(including you)has a balance value, separate from the aforementioned heavy attack stagger. Attacking, parrying, bashing will damage their balance and when their balance is broken, they will enter a weakened state in which light attacks also stagger them.
Those two systems will be a part of the new update and are the last two remaining components of Valhalla Combat. After that, if things are stable I'll make a public release and move onto other combat projects.
