I like high floors so it's probably my default, if they are going to build loads of stations it might indeed be expensive.
The High Level Bridge is quite antiquated, and I am not sure updating it to be able to handle modern HSR trains is worth it, building a new bridge also lets it be permanently passed over for streetcar service.
Not sure re connections to those services, ideally they could come into the same terminal, I imagine looping around the south of Edmonton isn't a huge issue given their length.

After watching again have A couple of questions
what platfrom height do you think Alberta should adopt? Low floor to save costs? maybe use Stadler Kisses or Stadler Giruno HST on intercity services and Stadler Flirts on regional services?
For Edmonton why do you think a new bridge should be built instead of using the existing high level Bridge?
Also how would you envision services coming from Fort Mac, Jasper, or Grand Prarie connecting with the services from the south at your proposed downtown edmonton terminal?
