Centrifuge was another of the demos for the original 2nd album, before the project files were stolen and widow emerged from the void they left behind. It's interesting to imagine a parallel reality where I made the album with all of that original material, all of it much more along the lines of Skeletons -- Electric guitar focused, saudade-core lyricism, heavier electronic percussion, themes of heartache and the immutable inevitability of loss. My artistic trajectory would have been so different, I don't know that I would have ever been pushed into tiptoeing the shaky line between grief and psychosis that was necessary to grow into the much more advanced and multilayered examination of those subjects that the OBLIVION series took, loss reaching that fever pitch that pushed it beyond the bounds of the subjective and into the realm of the biblical, the absolute. Loss as spiritual law, as the DNA of existence, instead of personal tragedy and aberration.
LYRICS:
You're running with your eyes closed
You're throwing everything away
I know I shouldn't tell you, but mixed with all those pieces are parts of me
And I saw you up in the sky
I saw you falling
I saw you falling
I saw you falling
Faster than a bullet when you-
