I held a poll back in December where I asked you to help me pick two species to hybridize. Turns out you all have a type, so hyena and ocelot won without even having much of a contest about it.

And while the stream went through all the way back in January, I went back and cleaned up the rough design sketches into a full small illustration piece.

The stream audience picked their names to be Josh and Valerie. I applaud their taste.

I originally wanted to design just one character, but failing to decide which gender should the kid be, let alone having to pick just one design output, I just resigned myself to twins so I could have it both ways. They're the kids of a firefighter and an urban planner. I have no idea why that seemed like a winning combo for me, but it just somehow clicks. Joshua's washed-out color scheme is a leucistic trait.

Backstage Pass holders can also look forward to a design breakdown and making-of arriving in a couple of days.
