Not gonna lie, this thing came about in an extremely convoluted way.
When I was hunting for things to read this year, I elected to go for The Song of Achilles, since it had been recommended to me by roughly twenty million people and their dogs. And possibly even the fleas on said dogs. Unfortunately, the book is... okay not gonna beat around the bush here, the book is garbage. I was teased with a thoughtful retelling of the Iliad, and instead I got a subpar yaoi fanfic / purple prose romance with all the horrible tropes one would expect from a 13 year old girl trying to write gay porn. Some of its writing choices were so wild they had me go and skim the Iliad itself, because I was sure I had to be remembering it wrong.
I had actually designed a "furry Achilles" (as well as Patroklos) before for one of the Artifacts in Semper Fidelis โ with the way that story handles hybrids, it embraces some of the wilder mythology takes with open arms and the thing just writes itself. So when I had nothing to do on a stream one day, I just started doodling, and thought I might actually put the proper design to canvas.
It's more of a proof of concept than a proper painting, since it started as a design doodle rather than a full piece. But I put a pin in it for now, perhaps to be remade later. As far as designs go, I'm pretty content. ("Clear" version of the full body without the armor will be up on the Patron discord later.)
In-universe for SF, Achilles was a chimaera. He could almost be mistaken for a mere mortal (meaning non-theos-related, not mortality-wise, he famously sucked at avoiding that pitfall), even if obviously highborn one, but golden eyes, shiny fish-like scales and bright mane betrayed his mother's side of the family.
Oh, and as a bonus, I went back and dug out the Artifact in question, too.

A lot of it is traced from the original kylix (which is why I don't upload these separately, as it just feels iffy), but it's still all hand-drawn, and it was a lot of fun to make back then.
And with that out of the way, I will hop to those poll results, before my computer gets dismantled later this week.
