Alphonse Plushie Campaign Wrap Up + Happy Halloween!

Spooky season is coming to a close, and with trick or treaters and candy induced tummy aches on the horizon, I wanted to give a big thank you to the community!

This month has been a mad dash of content, promo, work, and planning. The Alphonse plushie has been our most successful Makeship campaign ever, with 530 sold with 11 hours remaining. This truly is your LAST CHANCE to order the Alphonse plushie. Seth drops on November 20th, so we'll have a nice window of time where I'll shut the hell up about things to sell you. It always feels weird having to promote that sort of thing (especially on Patreon, where you're literally already paying for things) but I try to not lose sight of how incredibly cool it is to have such high quality plushies of my own original characters and that it's important for me to remind folks that it's happening.

When Alphonse was just a little thought (thot?) in my head, I never would have anticipated him to be so well loved by a community as incredible as the one we have built here together. He represents some of my favorite parts of me, and was the catalyst to fulfilling dreams I never thought were attainable. He has allowed me to share a story so dear to me, and that story went on to resonate with thousands of other people.

Aside from that, thank you for supporting the Spooky Season audios. I'm sorry there were not new AUs to go along with the returning favorites, my planning wasn't what it should have been, because of course I decided on a whim to do the BitterSweet Director's Cut a couple months ago and we've been chugging along working on that ever since.

But I can promise you that despite the lack of new spooky season AUs (which is a flawed premise anyway, because they shouldn't be exclusive to October tbh), the BitterSweet Director's Cut is my finest work. It is me setting the bar higher, and delivering on the potential that has been there from the start. For many, BitterSweet Chapter 1 is wonderful as it is, and it is! But I look at how far we came, how ambitious Chapter 3 was, and how deep the well of emotions and connections are, and I felt compelled to go do Chapter 1 some justice. It legitimately is just that much better now.

I believe that the Director's Cut will bring in old and new fans, reach people who never knew it was something they needed, and find lapsed listeners who had moved on before seeing that potential realized. That is my hope, at least. If nothing else, I will feel much more at ease knowing that when someone says "hey you should check out this thing" they'll be greeted with the BEST of my work, and not something I built with a box of scraps in a cave in 2020 not even realizing what I was creating.

Supporting me here on Patreon, and through campaigns like the Alphonse plushie, allows me to put those resources back into the content I create. While that support has enabled me to feed my family (AKA, myself and 4 cats), it has also afforded me healthcare, a gym membership, healthier food, and a body I can be more comfortable and happy in. We are not always in constant communication. I do not try and foster some sort of parasocial reverence or internet family, I've seen how that has worked out for others and that's not really my thing.

My thing is shutting up, putting my head down, and creating the best goddamn story I can for you.

But don't let that distance ever convince you that I'm not eternally grateful, or that every time I walk into the studio I don't count my fucking blessings. I don't have a quirky little name for our community, I don't pander (too much lol), and I have too much social anxiety to talk to strangers on Discord that often...but y'all changed my life. By giving me an opportunity to entertain and inspire, you changed everything. You proved a lot of people wrong, and didn't even know it.

The best thing I know to do to return that favor is to kick all the motherfucking ass I can, for as long as I can. That means my health, both physical and mental, have become much more of a priority for me in the past year. It has been roughly a year since getting medicated for ADHD, and beginning my weight loss journey. It won't belong before the fruits of those labors become much clearer, but trust me when I say things are better and brighter than they've ever be

If you've read this far, thank you for taking the time. I know I'm a yapper. This was supposed to be a convenient way to say thank you and get one last promo in for the plushie, but then it got real. I know a lot of folks are just here for the smut, and that is absolutely okay as well. Lurking and hearing men moan is one of life's greatest joys, I don't begrudge anyone who is just here for the goods. Trust that you're just as important to this journey as anyone else.
