Fundraiser For A Sick Kitty TOMORROW!

Hey everyone, wish I had a fun update for you all, but the YuuriVoice family got smacked with some pretty tough news the other day. Consider this your content warning for discussion of sick pets, cancer, and the associated risks. Yeah, it's that kind of update.

Haru is my two and a half year old tummy ache survivor, who unfortunately has not had the greatest run of luck when it comes to his tummy health. After months of trying to combat his chronic vomiting most recently, we opted for an ultrasound so we could remove all the guesswork from the equation. What we found was a likely cancerous tumor blocking the passage of food from his stomach to his intestine.

I've had a pretty rough go of things personally and professionally the past few months...or so I thought. My little guy potentially having cancer at such a young age gave me some perspective. Life has caught me with my pants down right as I was picking myself up out of the mud, so we're coming up with a fun way to try and raise some money for Haru's surgery and treatment.

I had already planned to do a throwback stream opening packs of the Final Fantasy x Magic The Gathering crossover, so we'll have an evening of looking at my hands and shiny cardboard while holding two raffles for Finn plushies and Cameo Audios. There'll be new Finn merch dropping as well!

Plus, if you're a collector looking to buy singles, there'll be an interest form to fill out if you'd like to buy some cards off of me. Basically, I'm doing whatever I can to try and fundraise while I'm tending to Haru and making sure he's comfortable as we figure out what's going on. We have an appointment with an oncologist tomorrow, and may even be able to get the growth removed and sent off right away. He's feeling good, still playing, hasn't even barfed in days thanks to having the smallest meals possible. I'm really hopeful that whatever the future holds, there'll be plenty of time for Haru to enjoy begging for chicken and playing with his siblings.

Sorry for this delay hitting right in the middle of Finn hype. I had a big list of things I wanted to accomplish this month, but all I can seem to do is channel all of this anxiety into productivity around the house. I've cleaned profusely, sold off old collectibles, hustled and am doing all I can. Ironically, there's SOMETHING very cool I'm working on that I definitely wouldn't have sunk a bunch of money into had I seen this on the horizon. Life has a funny sense of humor, because I wouldn't have bothered with these cards either when I pre-ordered them last month.

Obviously, life is hard for all of us right now in more ways than one. Ways even more dire and serious than a guy and his sick cat. So do NOT give anything you can't afford, we are going to be okay and I don't need anyone putting themselves out for our sake. I have no shortage of ways you can support us and get goodies in return. Thank you all for all the kind words you've shared on social media already. We've been hit with waves of love and support, and I've read all of it to Haru. He doesn't like...get it, and thinks that maybe I'm telling him about all the fun treats he's going to get to eat when we go on our adventure to the vet (he thinks it's a fancy kind of chef that only serves chicken). But I'm sure those poultry daydreams are a comfort when his tummy is rumbling.
