Size In Law (Mini Story)

Matt and his girlfriend Selena were visiting his parents for the holidays. Matt warned Selena that his mother tended to be unkind towards women he had brought home in the past. 

Matt's mother was a rather hefty woman. However, she was nothing but polite toward Selena during the visit. But right as they headed out the door at the end of the day, she presented Selena with a wrapped box. It contained a gaudy, XXXL dress covered in artwork of Santa dancing with elves. It was large enough that it would fit his mother fine but it clearly was much to large for the medium size Selena.

"I'm sorry but this is too be for me." Selena said.

"Oh, you'll grow into it dearie." She responded cheerfully before closing the door on her. 

Selena didn't know how to respond to this. This felt like an insult but it was rather vague and confusing in execution. For now, she just threw it in the back of the car before she and Matt drove the long distance home.

One year later.

The now engaged Selena and Matt visited his parents for the holidays once again,. The now 325 pound Selena sweated slightly, keeping her gut sucked in as she waddled into the house wearing the now form fitting dress.

Selena would put the dress on whenever she had a cheat day on her diet or after she had eaten a big meal of some kind. To assure herself that no matter how much she gained, she would never be as big as Matt's mom. However, the assurance that came from the dress bred laziness and apathy. And with that her appetite increased to the point where all her days were cheat days and all of her meals were big, with her almost never hitting the gym. This of course caused the pounds to pile on her but she didn't notice until the XXXL dress started to feel a bit tight on her after Thanksgiving. And having outgrown all her other clothes, the tacky dress was the only thing that fit her at the moment.

"See my dear, You did grow into it! I knew I had a good feeling about you!" She said with pride, as if Selena had passed some kind of test. "It's like what my own mother-in-law told me when she gave me that dress: Never trust a girl who isn't as big as you." 

Selena opened her mouth to protest, but that cause her stomach to relax and her slightly expanding midsection caused minor but audible tears around the dress's sides.

"That dress fit me perfectly when I gave it to you. I suppose that means I'm the untrustworthy one." Matt's mom snicked as Selena blushed.
