December 2020 - Wrap Up

Let me start by wishing you all a healthy, happy and productive 2021! For many people, last year has been a real struggle and I hope that things will become better in the months to come.

About a year ago, I launched this Patreon site, more as an experiment to see what would happen, but honestly I was completely blown away by the reaction. Seeing so many people joining here, including some colleagues who I admire for their own work is really mindblowing. So let me once again say a big thank you for your continuous support. I keep giving my best to provide useful and valuable content on that site that makes your pledge worth it.

As I wrote already a few times, I hope that eventually this page might grow to a size that will generate enough revenue to re-invest into regular and frequent orchestra sessions that we can use to explore and try out things and record music by you guys.

Having said that, the application for the first Orchestra Discovery Session ended last night. I didn't look at any of them in detail just yet as I wanted to collect them all first. I will go through them in the next days and announce the winners who we will record with the woodwind quintet in the second quarter of this year.

Other than that, a novelty that will soon arrive on this page and that I have been talking about for quite some time will be that I recorded the first live composing screencast a few days ago. I'm still trying to figure out how to get this all into shape so that it doesn't get an hours long boring video with 90% of the time me thinking and trying things out and still give enough insight into the process. So bear with me for the first few attempts at this to get this into a useful format.

Once again, I hope you have a wonderful 2021 and thanks for your continuous support!

Robin
